Alternative Provision Manager
Grade G – SCP 23 - 28 £33,366 - £37,938 (pro rata)
Permanent Position – 36 hours per week, Term Time Only
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, hardworking and able person to the role of Alternative Provision Manager at Rayner Stephens High School.
You will be responsible for ensuring provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in on-site and off-site Alternative Provision programmes, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Headteacher and the Governing Body.
The post holder will be responsible for identifying, leading and developing Alternative Provision (AP) Education suitable for the individual needs of the student.
The role will involve working closely with staff, Students and their families. As well as working effectively as a team, the ability to work independently and using your own initiative is essential.
Appropriate skills and knowledge for this role is essential. Experience in a similar role within a school environment, would be desirable however full training will be provided. Working in a professional manner, paying attention to detail and having the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations and policies are all qualities which are essential.

Catering Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and hardworking individual to work as an effective Catering Assistant here at Rayner Stephens High School. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic candidate who has the ability and desire to develop new skills, knowledge and experience in the role.
Your key responsibilities will include, contributing to the delivery of the healthy and nutritious Rayner Catering service. You may be required to undertake skilled cooking activities along with ensuring that all kitchen items and plates as well as the Catering site is kept clean to the highest of standards.
You will follow cooking routines to comply with specified cleaning and storage. To assist when required in decant and/or serve food in the school catering areas.
To assist in the catering services for each day and for functions and events, including various dietary requirements. To actively promote the school meals service to pupils and parents to increase awareness of healthy eating and the uptake of healthy school meals.
To assist with the refilling and replacing consumables and complying with the stock rotation procedure and the secure and separated storage of supplies.
To ensure that the clearing and washing of kitchen appliances and plates and cutlery along with the cleaning of the catering site is to the highest standard.

We are looking to appoint to the position of a Head of House. At Rayner we want to ensure that there is the highest quality of pastoral and academic support and learning through the effective and timely use of data, rewards, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment, attendance, safeguarding and behaviour. This will be achieved through outstanding pastoral leadership.
A willingness to be flexible in your approach and the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations is essential.

We are seeking individuals who are interested in joining our board of trustees, to lead the Trust into the next phase of our development. We wish to appoint people who knows what steps are needed to improve a school in a sustainable manner, but with pace, and who has the inspirational and organisational qualities to take a strategic lead on that journey, whilst preserving and further developing the beliefs, values and culture of the Academies within the Trust.

Person specification
In looking to fill these vacancies we are interested in applications from people with the skills outlined below:
Audit, finance and risk
The trust seeks a trustee with strong audit, finance and risk experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in a charity or non-profit organisation, as well as demonstrating experience from a commercial, retail or industry setting, including evidence of contribution to growing a business, chain of businesses or franchises, as well as experience of head office and organisational development, including driving efficiency improvements in central services.
Education and School Improvement
The trust seeks a trustee who possesses skills and experience from across the educational landscape, with a specific requirement for school leadership. Experience of working in a role with responsibility for school improvement is welcomed.
Business, Governance and Human Resources
The trust seeks individuals who possess a strong ‘general’ skillset from across the business sphere, with a specific requirement for growth management. Experience working in a role with responsibility for corporate governance, legal services or human resources would be valuable.
Commitment
Trusteeship is a voluntary, unpaid role for people who have the energy and skills to make a real contribution to shaping the future of our schools. You do not need to have any specialist knowledge of education.
The time commitment is approximately 4 hours per month during term time as a minimum. Board meetings are held at the Trust’s registered office at Ashton Sixth Form College (OL6 9RL), mainly in the evenings.
