Safeguarding
Key Information
The school recognises its responsibilities for Safeguarding. Our child protection statement outlines the school’s position and should be read in conjunction with the school’s Child Protection Policy. Our policy applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the school.
The lead persons with overall responsibility for child protection and safeguarding in school are the designated safeguarding leads:
Mr M Davies - Head Teacher
Mrs T Marshall - Designated Safeguarding Lead
Miss T Wilson - Safeguarding and Mental Health Lead
Any concerns or query of this nature should be reported directly to them in the first instance. Please see the Child Protection and Safeguarding policy for further information.
Operation Encompass – Supporting children in Domestic violence
On 21st January 2019 Rayner Stephens High School implemented a new ongoing project that runs jointly between schools and Greater Manchester Police. This project is called Operation Encompass. It aims to support children who are affected by domestic violence by ensuring that their school is informed. This allows the school to support the children. If you have any other questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Please ask for any of the Safeguarding Team.
