What to Expect After Applying

Parents will be notified of their child’s allocated high school on 1st March 2025. If your child is placed at Rayner Stephens High School, the school will reach out with more information about the transition programme designed to integrate new students smoothly into the school community.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

For parents of children with special educational needs (SEN), the council collaborates with parents, schools, and support services to name a school in the child’s EHCP. Discussions regarding high school options for children with SEN will take place during the Year 5 Annual Review.

Open Evening

Rayner Stephens High School is hosting an Open Evening on Thursday, 26th September 2024 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This event is an excellent opportunity for families to explore the school, meet the staff, and learn more about the vibrant community. Attendees can also enjoy a meal at the school's "Rayner Chippy."

If you can’t make it to the Open Evening or prefer a more personalised experience, the school offers one-to-one tours. Simply get in touch with the school to arrange a visit at your convenience.

Join the Rayner Stephens family and embark on a journey of excellence and ambition. With the right support and resources, this transition can be a positive and exciting step towards your child's bright future.
